It is my opinion that this is harder for those who eat a lot of sugar but then they are probably the ones who are most likely to be heading for diabetes Type II and this diet aims at reducing that risk or possibly even reversing it. I was already on a low sugar diet before starting this diet and I think that made it easier. But if you NEED to lose the weight and you are motivated, this is a very doable and effective diet.
